Peace Corps year 2

let's hope santa can drive a charette

My parents’ visit is going well so far—they loved Goree, St. Louis was beautiful, we made the trip from St. Louis to Tamba in seven hours (apparently a stunning record), the village party went well, and now we’re about to go into cookie production in preparation for Christmas in Tamba.

I’ll have lots of pictures and stories to post once I’m in Dakar for my brief break between visitors.

Merry Christmas or Happy Whatever Holiday You May Be Celebrating 🙂

Since you got the “Merry Christmas” in there Bill O’Reilly might give you a pass on the “Happy Holidays” part. Be thanful you’re not here in the front line of the “War on Christmas.”

Claire, glad to hear your mom and dad are haveing a good trip. I spoke to Emma yesterday and got a small update from her.
We celebrated Christmas at Dawn’s again this year.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dear Clare, (and Ren?e and Paul) So glad you are having a great time. We had a nice Christmas with Joe, Lucy and family, and Celeste and Gary, also Beth and Duncan and Amy and Gustavo and Charlie, Elizabeth and the darling little baby Emmy. She is so cute. Joe and some of the guys went on a chartered fishing trip. Clare, I am sure you are enjoying your folks. Can’t wait to see the pictures. Love, Ma Ma Barbara

Hello Clare,
Just a Southdowns neighbor of Renee and Paul’s wondering about them. Hope all is well and you are having a great visit!
